Who can get a payout from the AARP Facebook Privacy Settlement?
In order to get the payout from the AARP Facebook Privacy Settlement, it is mandatory for a class member to submit a claim form. The requirements for the same are:
- You must be a citizen of the US and reside in any territory of the country.
- You have an AARP membership or are a registered user of AARP.org, and you have an active FB account.
- You requested/obtained video content on AARP between September 27, 2020, and September 12, 2025.
Additionally, it is mandatory that you have received a notice from the settlement administrator carrying a unique ID and PIN. Note: if you haven’t received any notice, you need to mail the claim form.
How much will be received from the AARP settlement?

When will AARP settlement class members get a payout?
If you are one of the AARP settlement class members, you should know that your payout will be received within three months of final approval. As the hearing for the same is to be held on 10 February 2026, if it is received on this date, then in this situation the payment will be received by early May 2026.
If final approval is received with an appeal, it may take up to six months for the payment to be received. It is because appeals take months to result in a decision. One thing you must note is that you will receive the payment only through your chosen payment gateway.
