Who is eligible for the NJ ANCHOR Program 2025?
To apply for the NJ ANCHOR program and get a payout, it is mandatory that you meet the eligibility criteria. The requirements for the homeowners and renters are available below.
Homeowners:
- You must own a home in New Jersey.
- You must have occupied the home as your principal residence as of October 1, 2024.
- Your home must be subject to local property taxes.
- Your gross income in 2024 must be $250,000 or less.
Renters:
- You must rent a residence in New Jersey and have occupied the residence as your principal home as of October 1, 2024.
- Your name must appear on the lease or rental agreement, and the property you have leased or rented must be subject to local property taxes.
- Your gross income in 2024 must be $150,000 or less.
Additionally, it is mandatory that you have US citizenship and reside in New Jersey, whether you are a homeowner or a renter.

How much can I get by applying for the NJ ANCHOR Program?

- If you are a homeowner with income equal to or below $150,000, you will get the payout of $1,500; and if your income is between $150,001 and $250,000, you are going to get only $1,000.
- As a renter, you will get the payment of $450 only if your income is equal to or below $150,000. There is no payout amount for the renters who have income above this amount.
Note that senior citizens, i.e., those who have turned at least 65 years or older, will get an additional $250. It means the maximum you can get as a homeowner is $1750, and as a renter, it is $70 by applying for the NJ ANCHOR program.

- Now, you need to click on โFile Property Tax Relief Application (PAS-1 or ANC-1)โ and go to the new page.
