CVS Class Action Settlement 2025: When to expect the settlement payout?
New Post Check Here!

People who have purchased the listed CVS eye drop product in the US and filed the settlement claim form before 18 September 2025 must be wondering about the payout. You can find the expected payment date, payout, and other information about the CVS settlement here.

The lawsuit against CVS was filed over the store-brand eye drops that were recalled after the US FDA investigation found unsanitary conditions in the manufacturing facility. The defendant denies the claims and defects in the product, and agreed to resolve the lawsuit with a settlement.

Both plaintiffs and defendants have agreed to settle the CVS eye drop settlement for $1 million, where the claimants can receive the payout based on the amount they paid. The amount may vary depending on the number of products you have purchased, or whether you have the proof or not.ย

When can you expect the CVS class action settlement payout?

The claim deadline for the CVS eye drop settlement ended just a few weeks ago, and the federal court has yet to grant final approval, which will lead to the administration beginning payment distribution.

The final approval hearing for the CVS settlement is scheduled on 28 October 2025 at 10 AM, where the Honorable Judge Terrence W.Boyle will make a decision on the fairness and reasonability of the settlement.

If the court approves the settlement, the valid claimant can expect the payment within 60 days of the effective date. However, if there is an appeal on the court decision, it will halt the settlement proceedings until it is resolved, which can take half a year or a year.

What will be your payout from the CVS Eye Drop settlement?

Each class member who has submitted a valid claim form on time will receive the monetary payment, depending on the following categories they have claimed:

  • Claim with Proof of Purchase:
  • If you have proof of the purchase, like a receipt or a bill, of buying the listed CVS eye drop, you will receive cash payment based on the number of products bought during the class period and the amount you paid.ย
  • The product purchased on the CVS ExtraCare Program can present their program enrollment number as proof of purchase.ย
  • Claim with no proof of purchase:
  • If you have no proof of purchase, you must claim the โ€œno proof claimsโ€; you will receive the cash award under the penalty of perjury ( you purchased one or more products, you have the date of purchase for each purchase, or the type of products purchased during the class period).ย
  • It will be distributed equally among the claimants depending on the time discount rate and other factors.ย

The claimants who have filed claims for multiple products purchased can receive either of the awards for one product. However, if you have filed the claim form for multiple products without proof of purchase, you cannot receive the payment for more than three products.

What will be the payment method for the CVS Eye drop settlement?

Once the federal court approves the settlement, the administrator will start the review of the filed claim forms and begin determining the payment for claimants based on their claims. The payment date will be affected based on the payment method.

The settlement agreement says the payment to the valid claimant will be processed either through a physical check to the mailing address or an electronic payment method, depending on what you have selected or the way you have claimed the settlement.

The CVS Eye Drop settlement’s final approval hearing has yet to be held, so you have to wait longer for the payment. If you have claimed the settlement, you should keep an eye on the final approval hearing, which will be held in just 12 days from now, or stay tuned to be sure of your payment.
